Planetary Stations and Retrograde Motion in the Birth Chart
Retrograde and stationary planets in the natal chart, through both traditional and modern astrological frameworks.

Cazimi, Combust, and Under the Beams: Proximity to the Sun
The three zones of solar proximity — cazimi, combust, and under the beams — describe whether a planet operates openly or below the surface.

Morning Star and Evening Star: Solar Orientation in the Birth Chart
A planet's relationship to the Sun shapes how it expresses itself — whether it acts before the Sun (initiating) or after it (reflective).

What are planetary transits?
Planetary transits are the current positions of the planets in the sky, measured against your natal chart. When a transiting planet aspects a natal point, that's a transit — and it describes the kind of timing currently active in that area of your life.
How accurate are your transit calculations?
Calculations use Swiss Ephemeris updated in real time. Planetary positions are accurate to the minute of arc.
Why do I need my birth chart for transits?
A transit chart isn't just the current sky — it's the current sky measured against your natal chart. Without your birth data, you'd see where the planets are now (the chart of the moment), but not which of those planets are aspecting your own.
How does the transit chart work on this site?
Each transiting planet is clickable on the bi-wheel. Selecting one shows every aspect it currently makes to your natal positions — the type of aspect, the orb, and whether it's applying or separating.
Is the transit chart calculator free?
Yes. Generate unlimited transit charts without signing up. Sign up only if you want to save your profile and access it faster next time.
How often should I check my transits?
Outer-planet transits (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) build slowly over weeks or months — checking weekly is plenty. Inner-planet transits (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) shift faster; daily checks make sense for those, especially the Moon.
