What is a chart of the moment?
A chart of the moment is a natal-style chart cast for right now, at your location. It shows where every planet currently sits, the aspects forming between them, and which planets are retrograde or stationing — the same way a birth chart freezes the sky at the moment of birth, but for this moment instead.
How is this different from a birth chart?
A birth chart is cast for your moment of birth — a fixed, personal chart. A chart of the moment is cast for the present moment — it changes as the planets move. Where a birth chart describes you, a chart of the moment describes the sky itself, the same for everyone at the same location.
How accurate is the chart of the moment?
Calculations use Swiss Ephemeris and update in real time. Planetary positions are accurate to the minute of arc.
How does the chart work on this site?
Each planet on the wheel is clickable. Selecting one shows its current sign, house, and aspects to every other planet — plus its solar phase (cazimi, combust, visible) and any retrograde or station status.
